J. Barry David, DVM, ACVIM

 

It is with a great deal of sadness that we must announce the departure of our partner, colleague and friend, Dr. Barry David.   As many of you will know, Dr. David has been going through a very challenging personal situation that ultimately left him uncomfortable continuing to reside in Central Virginia.  Though this decision to leave the Blue Ridge family and the many wonderful clients and friends he has established here has been very difficult, it seems best for him to move on with a fresh start.  To that end, Barry has taken a job with a fine practice in Ocala, Florida where he starts March 3.

We know that you will join us in thanking him for his many years of dedicated service to the Virginia horse community.  His tenure here has been marked by exceptional dedication to maintaining the highest standards of care with a compassionate personal touch.  We wish him a long and happy career.

Despite the loss, we remain committed to providing an exceptional medicine service.  In Dr. Norman we are fortunate to have an internist with outstanding expertise.  She will be in charge of the service until a replacement for Dr. David has been secured.
