Externship Opportunities
Externships
at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic are offered to current veterinary students, with a
preference given to 3rd and 4th year students. During the externship, the
individual will assist all doctors in providing care including patient
treatments and after-hours emergencies. It will allow for equal time with all
six doctors in a supportive and mentoring environment. The externship also
provides the student opportunity to work with and observe the interns in order
to explore the merits and responsibilities that come with the internship
experience. Externs are provided housing, which is located at the clinic.
Transportation is made available for those students flying into Charlottesville
Airport.
Applicants
should send a letter of intent complete with preferred dates and a resume to our
office via

An externship (preferably at least two weeks) is a prerequisite for candidates
seeking an internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic.
