A wide range of lameness cases are seen at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic referred from around the Mid-Atlantic region.  Most of these referrals are chronic cases with existing work-ups or treatments, yet the animal remains lame or shows poor performance.

With over 70 years cumulative experience in the area of lameness, we have found that these patients require ample time for physical examination, regional anesthesia and diagnostic imaging.  In most cases, we are able to successfully diagnose and recommend appropriate treatment to our lameness patients that include various types of performance and racing horses.
