Equine Dental Health
Equine dental health is a critical part of keeping your horse healthy and at peak performance. At Blue Ridge Equine Clinic, our veterinarians are fully equipped to handle your horse’s dental needs, including:
- Routine dental exams
- Dental floats (powerfloat available)
- Tooth removal
- Dental imaging
- Horses aged six months to six years of age and horses over fifteen years of age should have a dental check at least once per year, as horses in these ages groups can have rapid changes in their teeth. Signs that your horse may require dental attention include dropping feed, losing weight, head tossing or being fussy with the bit when riding. Our veterinarians can evaluate your horse’s equine dental needs and provide appropriate treatment to keep your horse at peak health and performance.
