Anne Merritt, LVT, an Indiana native, developed a passion for animals early on. Pursuing Animal Sciences at Purdue University, she joined the equestrian team and Polo club, discovering a love for eventing. Post-graduation, she worked with Ossabaw Swine, later deciding to pursue a veterinary technology degree.
Blue Ridge Equine Clinic caught her attention, leading to an externship and a move to Virginia. After a year in northern Virginia, she joined BREC’s Valley division, balancing work with riding in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. Currently based at the Earlysville Hospital, she enjoys hiking with her dog.
